Queen Nation began playing at the local bar Beach. The band used to practice at the lead singer's basement. Queen Nation’s members met in 1979. The drummer use to listen to musics constantly as a child.

Queen Nation met with a local DJ from B94.5 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the band. The group played for years atsmall clubs making almost no money. After the single hit the airwaves and blew up, Queen Nation were still afraid they’d be a one hit wonder. The group really enjoys performing and is playing almost nightly for fans.

Queen Nation realized that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true after Shirley Pillar started a fan club for the band in 1987. The fan club quickly grew from a few dozen in Detroit to a few thousand across the world.

Queen Nation will take some time off after the tour, to allow the band members to rest. The band just completed their newest project, and they are thinking of what is to come next. Queen Nation's new album is the group's first record since the band broke up nine years ago.
