Queer Riot Tickets
Queer Riot’s members grew up together. The guitarist wanted to start a band since he was in middle school. The drummer was influenced by his mother's love of music. Queer Riot began playing at the local dive bar Anyplace. The group harassed the local radio station to play their song.
Queer Riot was offered a record contract after playing at at City, a local club. The group is on the road all the time now promoting their album before large crowds.
Queer Riot knew that they were truly working musicians as soon as Michelle Lewis started a fan club for the band in 1981. The fan club grew quickly from a few dozen members in a few cities to a few thousand from New York to California.
After this last hectic year the members of Queer Riot will take some time off to pursue other projects. The band recently finished their latest release, but they are thinking of what is next to come. Queer Riot's most current release is the band's seventh album.
Every time the group comes to Detroit they are sure to stop at Dynamo and play a show. Queer Riot appreciates that they are able to do what they love because of the fans, so they play the hits off their newest project as well as the classics.
