Quicksand’s members were friends in middle school. The group used to sell their CDs out of their truck at local shows. Quicksand started singing at Invasion, a local dive bar. The bassist wanted to start a band since he was in middle school.
Members of Quicksand see this tour as a chance to expose a new audience to their music. The band is in the middle of the tour promoting for their most current album. Quicksand's new album is the band's first album in two years.

Quicksand realized that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a distinct possibility after Jenna Jean started the first fan club for the group in 1988. The fan club may have just started out with a few members that followed the band when the played in small clubs, but it quickly grew to thousands after the group released its first album and started touring nationally.
