QUINTO SOL is a hit music band known for releasing a contagious, inspiring and poignant music. Quinto Sol, also known with the name of Fifth Sun, carries an emotional sound, that is deeply rooted in community and roots music and ranges far and wide from the Americas to the Caribbean and Africa.

Quinto Sol has the band members that are versatile in nature and are very talented. They know how to create musical waves from the musical instruments. The key members of the band are Mizraim Leal who is Lead in the stream of vocals, guitar, producer, engineer), Javier Villalobos who is a drummer, Martin Perez who is bassist, Cesar Villalobos who is known for playing Keyboards, Abel Gonzalez known for playing saxophone and Armando Padilla who is a Lead Guitarist. The other musicians in the band are Mando Gonzalez (Congas), Bernie Bran (Perdcussions/Toys), Sal Magallon (Timbales), Additional musicos; Willie Huitzil Reyez (Drums/Perc), Mark Spiller (Drums), Jeremy Park (Keys), David Ortega (Congas/Bongo) and Tezozomoc (Poetry/Spoken Word). The band emerged from the artist/activist community hailing from East Los Angeles in 1994. What made Quinto Sol a hit was its roots-reggae at its core, that has been woven seamlessly with Latin rhythms like cumbia, rumba, and son.

Quinto Sol could also be defined as a collective of musicians, who were very much inspired to use music as a weapon for creating awareness of socio-political and economic issues that are being faced by the community. They finish off their task by translating their own urban realities in every day life.

They also study the struggles of indigenous communities in the world, through conscious lyrics and powerful live performances. It was nine years after the band's inception when the Quinto Sol released their second independent album and first national release, Barrio Roots.

It was produced by and arranged by the QS band, and engineered by Johnny Alvarez and Mizraim Leal. the band's lead vocalist and guitar player. Quinto Sol is also dedicated to planting the seed that let's everyone know where they come from and where they are being headed to. At present piece of time, Quinto Sol's third and most anticipated album, "Spirits of the Martyrs" is under progress. It comes as a tribute to all the heroes that fought and died for Land, Love, Peace, and Dignity. And yes, the band members make it a point that don't forget your roots and culture. The other task being accomplished by Quinto Sol is to take on a world beat tour unlike any reggae band in the music circuit. They have performed with all the hit starts like The Wailers, Third World, Inner Circle, Steel Pulse, Eek-A-Mouse, Maldita Vecindad, Jaguares, Malo, Ozomatli, Poncho Sanchez, Puya, Todos Tus Muertos and others.

Even their fan base is diverse as is the musical fusion they produce and the bands with whom they've shared the stage, no matter whether it is from L.A. to Mexico City and even Japan. Quinto Sol is also a premier entertainment company formed since 1995. They are into event planning, event coordination, emceeing and music selection.
