Racing Kites’s members met in high school. The drummer use to listen to musics constantly as a kid. Racing Kites started singing at the local club Artist. The Beatles heavily influenced the early work of the band.

Racing Kites's latest project is the group's first release since the band broke up three years ago. The band may have recently completed their most current project, but they are already planning the next release. After this last non-stop year the members of Racing Kites will spend some time apart.

Racing Kites was discovered after their single was heard on a local music hour on Q93.9. The group took any show they could get before they were signed. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they began.

Racing Kites's performances always have the audience singing by the end of the show. Dallas has always been receptive to the band, even when they were small time, so the group schedules a show there every year, even if they are not touring.
