Ragdoll Tickets
The members of Ragdoll met in 1979. The lead singer was influenced by his sister's love of music. The lead singer wanted to start a group since he was in college. Ragdoll started playing at Human, a local dive bar. The Beach Boys heavily influenced the early work of the group.
The years of paying their dues paid off when Ragdoll signed a record deal. The band members were ecstatic that all the small clubs they had played had paid off. The group continues to play large venues, but still enjoys performing in smaller clubs on occasion.
Ragdoll knew that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act in 2000, as soon as the group's first fan club was started by Laura Jasper. The club started out small, with just a handful of members around Concord. After the band’s first national tour the club grew dramatically, reaching a membership in the thousands.
Ragdoll plans to take some time off after this next tour, allowing the band members to pursue individual projects. The band recently completed their new project, and they are already planning the next release.
Critics have often commended Ragdoll for their playfulness with the audience at concerts. Portland music critic Wally Dunn has always been a fan of group’s song's lyrics. Ragdoll’s latest release has received incredible reviews from all the critics, including David Vanderhoff from Washington, D.C. and Ed Jagodzinski from Las Vegas.
The group has always had a good time in Buffalo so they make sure to play there every year, even if they are not promoting anything. Ragdoll knows to play both the old and the new at their shows.
