Ralphie May is most popular for performing in Los Angeles, California where he has also built a huge fan base. May started his comedy career in high school, where he participated and won a talent show. As he won the show he got an opportunity as a prize to open for Sam Kinison. After graduating he moved to Houston, Texas to polish his comic skills, and then to Los Angeles, where he has worked as an actor, writer, and producer.

He achieved worldwide prominence after the success of NBC’s hit reality series, “Last Comic Standing,” The American audience thought of him as deserving of the first place. But, achieving the second hardly made a difference on his career. Today he has established himself as one of the most recognizable comedians in the country. He brought his first CD and DVD, Just Correct, in 2004 by Melee Entertainment, a division of Dreamworks, and has achieved platinum sales status. Lately, Ralphie participated in VH-1’s first season of “Celebrity Fit Club,” in which eight famous personalities bravely came forward and admitted that they’ve been losing the battle of the bulge. “Comedy is not about appearance, it’s about rockin’ a mic,” he says. “Are they laughing? That’s the only test.”

He was interested in comedy since childhood. May entered into a radio station-sponsored talent show while attending the University of Arkansas. After his success on the show, Sam turned to Ralphie. He says, "That was the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life." After his move to Los Angeles, he has acted as a comedian, actor, writer and producer on ESPN's Mohr Sports starring Jay Mohr and had four acts on CBS's The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn as well as eleven on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He has appeared on The Man Show and MTV’s Bash as well as in guest-starring roles on several television shows, comprising NBC’s Whoopie. And for recent performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, he achieved a standing ovation, being the first comedian in 10 years to take in this. Since beginning his career he went on experiencing increased fame. What distinguishes him from others of his kind is his impressive style.
