Rock The Bayou began performing at Dancer, a local club. The bassist used to listen to radio constantly as a child. The lead singerdiscovered his love of music by listening to his family's collection of records. The members of Rock The Bayou were friends in high school. The group used to practice at the drummer's basement.

Rock The Bayou’s first album did not do so well, but the second album was a hit, going platinum. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they began.
