Sade Tickets
The members of Sade grew up together. The guitarist was heavily influenced by his sister's love for music. The drummer used to listen to radio constantly as a child. Sade started performing at Lulu's, a local club. The group had their friends call into the local radio station to play their first release.
Sadewere tentative after releasing their debut release, but were more than relieved when they started hearing their music on the radio. The band is mobbed by fans at every show. Sade met with a local DJ from Q91.9 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the band. The bandyears opening for bands at local festivals.
Sade knew they made it in 1988, when the group's first fan club was started by Cynthia Quinn. The fan club may have just started out with a few members that followed the band when the played in small clubs, but it quickly grew to thousands after the group released its first album and started touring nationally.
Sade's most current release has taken the band in a completely different direction, with a softer edge. The group is in the midst of the accompanying tour for their newest release. Sade's members see this tour as a chance to expose a whole new audience to their music.
Generally critics will commend Sade for their ability to rile up the audience during concerts. A music critic from San Antonio, Timothy Quinn, has always been a fan of group’s effort every show. Sade’s latest release has received superb reviews from Chris Verlinden, a music critic out of Buffalo, and Nigel Dickenson, from St. Louis.
