Sadus Tickets
During the eighties glamrock and thrash metal became highly popular and ultimately dominated the music scene. Thrash became much prominent in the Bay area, which produced several bands like Testament, Vio-lence, Possessed, Exodus as well as Sadus. Although it seems like the thrash scene has almost vanished and almost all the notable names have disappeared. Sadus remains among the few exceptional bands that have come through the grunge, black metal and hard-core. It seems presently they are working on their new album.
Sadus is regarded as a highly technical thrash metal trio that belongs to the United States. The band Sadus was founded in 1984 in Antioch, California. Initially their works were based highly on Slayer, but these artists gradually advanced and acquired a unique, innovative kind of sound. Though they did not achieve much attention from the media they were able to reach the highest peaks in the genre, due to the constantly improving craftsmanship. The band name was taken from the novel Dune where Sadus are judges. The Fremen title denotes to holy judges, referring to saints.
Sadus first came out on the scene in 1986 with their DTP-demo, shortly succeeded by the Certain Death-demo in 1987. This demo helped the band in making a name in the Underground scene and result in a two-song contribution to the Raging Death-compilation from 1987. By 1991 they achieved prominence on the mainstream metal by "lending" bass player Steve DiGiorgio out to Death, for the Human album. DiGiorgio's presence brought the band high acclaim and a lot of Death fans. That same year the band embarked on a tour to Europe with Morbid Angel.
In 1992 they brought out, A Vision of Misery. On this album they appeared much matured and technical, yet maintained their aggressive style. In ‘93 Steve DiGiorgio returned back to Florida to work on another Death album, Individual Thought Patterns. As of 1994 Steve comes back for a short while to accompany on live shows and a demo recording. Subsequently Rob Moore left and they were left as a three-piece band. In late ‘95 early ‘96, the band contracted a recording deal with Mascot Records. Presently they continue as a three-piece band. In 1997 they released their smashing hit, Elements of Anger that was recorded with producer Scott Burns. Their live performances are highly acclaimed for the consistency they have maintained till date.
