The members of Safety Suit were friends in high school. The lead singer used to annoy his sister by playing his favorite music too loud. The drummer wanted to start a band since he was in grade school. Safety Suit started performing at Guy, a college bar. The band had their friends harass the local radio station to play their single.

Safety Suit was discovered after their single was heard on Z100.5. The bandyears opening for bands at dive bars. Now the band is a huge draw wherever they go.

Safety Suit knew that they were truly working musicians after the group’s first fan club was started in 1985 by Dorothy Urich. The fan club grew quickly from a few dozen members in a few cities to a few thousand from New York to California.

Safety Suit hope this tour and the new record attracts another audience. The band may have recently finished their newest release, but they are planning the next release already. Safety Suit's latest release took a few weeks to create.
