Saints and Sinners began singing at the college club Artist. The drummer was influenced by his grandfather's love of music. The bassist used to listen to radio constantly as a teenager. Saints and Sinners’s members met in college. The group was influenced by Buddy Holly.
Saints and Sinners was discovered while joking around, performing on the street one day. The group members were happy to have the opportunity to make an album and quit their day jobs that supported them while they worked hard at night to make their dreams happen. Saints and Sinners’s first album did not do so well, but the second album was a hit, going gold.
Saints and Sinners realized that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a distinct possibility in 1988, after the group's first fan club was started by Nancy Jagodzinski. The group embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the group’s own website by Brenda Kostner and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.
Saints and Sinners's latest album is the group's first since the band members went to work on independent projects three years ago. The group may have just completed their newest project, but they are planning the next release already.
Often times, critics praise Saints and Sinners for their ability to connect with the crowd when they perform live. A music critic from St. Louis, Noah McCarther, has always been impressed with band’s crisp instrumentals. Saints and Sinners’s latest project is receiving positive reviews from Alan O'Toole, a music critic out of Cleveland, and Vince Hemmingway, from Dallas.
The band has a love affair with Oklahoma City so they are sure to stop by and play a show whenever they are touring.
