Saluting the Rockies's new album is the band's first record since the band broke up three years ago. The group is in the start of the accompanying tour for their newest album. Saluting the Rockies intends to spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the group members to pursue individual projects.

Saluting the Rockies signed the record deal, and fully expected that they would last past the first album. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller venues in which they started. The years of paying their dues paid off when Saluting the Rockies signed a record deal. The band group played festivals, parties, bars, really just about anywhere that would take them.

Saluting the Rockies accepted that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a real possibility after the group’s first fan club was started by Virginia Molitor in 1990. The club started out small, with just a handful of members around Detroit. After the band’s first national tour the club grew dramatically, reaching a membership in the thousands.
