Sanctuary began singing at small clubs around town. The guitarist discovered his love of music while listening to his grandmother's record collection. The guitarist was encouraged to play by his sibling. The members of Sanctuary were friends in high school. The band was influenced by Johnny Cash.

After this past hectic year the members of Sanctuary will spend some time apart to recharge after a long year. The group is in the beginning of the promotional tour for their most current project. Sanctuary's newest record took over a year to produce.

submitted their single to Q95.5 and a DJ took a liking to it. All the members quit their other jobs to focus on their record. Sanctuary’s first album was a dud, but the second finally got some exposure.
