Sheryl Crow Tickets
Sheryl Crow’s life become much more complicated than it had ever been when she was growing up in Kennett, Missouri. There she was the third child of Wendell and Bernice Crow, a majorette, and an All-State athlete. Now she is an internationally renown singer/songwriter with a checked past of struggle and triumph.
Sheryl Crow started down the musical road by majoring Music Composition, Performance, and Education. After graduating from the University of Missouri in Columbia she went on to teach elementary school during the week and try her hand at performing over the weekends.
Crow became a jingle singer with the help of Jay Oliver, singing songs for Famous-Barr, McDonald’s, and Toyota. Sheryl then met up with the Tuesday night music club after her first self-titled record failed to catch on. The group began as a loose collection of musicians working on lyrics, but became the creative force behind her break through album, Tuesday Night Music Club, which was named for the group.
To this day there remains conflict over who wrote the songs for the album, but time has passed and the album is remembered as her creation. The album was certified platinum seven times and reached number three on the U.S. charts in 1994. The album was released in 1993, but it struggled to find and audience until the release of the single “All I Wanna Do”. “Strong Enough” cemented the album as a hit.
Her second album, Sheryl Crow, garnered attention for its discussion of abortion, guns, and homelessness. It also produced another hit single with “If It Makes You Happy”. Sheryl Crow had become a major artist who dominated the stage at Lilith Fair, sold millions of albums, and sold plenty of concert tickets.
Her career expanded briefly into acting and more so into movie soundtracks as the years have moved on. Her albums have been well received, though overall sales have fluctuated in the 21st century.
The Seats will continue to have tickets for the venerable singer as she tours the world. This fall she has a handful of concerts scheduled in Australia and New Zealand with rock and roll hall of fame singer John Mellencamp.
