Tab began performing at the college bar Personnel. The group kept requesting that the local radio station to play their tracks. The members of Tab met in high school. The guitarist wanted to start a band since he was in college.

Tab was offered a record contract after performing at at Blackmail, local bar. The band members quit their other jobs to focus on their album. Tab were still not sure if they would make it after getting a record. They had heard too many stories and knew that they were in no position to expect anything.
