Taboo started playing at the local club Colleague. The lead singer was heavily influenced by his mom's love for music. The guitarist discovered his love of music while listening to his dad's collection of records. Taboo’s members met in 1980. The band used to sell their CDs out of their car at the local record store.

Taboo’s first album did not do so well, but the second album was a hit, going platinum. The groupplays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller venues in which they began. Taboo was discovered while joking around, performing on the street one day. The groupyears opening for bands at small clubs.

Taboo realized that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a distinct possibility when Patricia Zadra started the first fan club for the group in 1999. After the group’s first North American tour, the fan club grew from the couple dozen fans who heard the band play around Portland to the thousands who heard them play across the nation.

Members of Taboo hope this next tour brings in more fans than ever. The band is in the first leg of the accompanying tour for their latest album. Taboo's most current release took just four months to produce.

Taboo seamlessly blends the songs from the previous album with tracks from their latest project.
