Tall In The Saddle started singing at Reasoning, a college dive bar. The band used to practice at the bassist's garage. Tall In The Saddle’s members grew up together. The bassist was heavily influenced by his dad's love for music.

Tall In The Saddle was offered a record contract after playing at at Series, a local club. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller clubs in which they started.

Tall In The Saddle realized that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act as soon as the band’s first fan club was started by Sharon Bierlein in 1984. The club started out in Seattle with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.

Tall In The Saddle's newest release is the band's first since the group members went to work on independent projects two years ago. The group may have recently finished their latest record, but they are thinking of what is to come next. Tall In The Saddle plans to take some time off after this next tour, allowing the band members to recharge after a long tour.

The group has always had a good time in Omaha so they make sure to play there every year, even if they are not promoting anything.
