The folk rock identical twins Tegan and Sarah have managed to quietly become one of the most popular indie rock groups around. The sisters started off recording demo tapes in their Calgary high school in 1997 and came to fame after garnering attention after wining the Garage Warz Battle of the Bands in Calgary.

Tegan and Sara created name for themselves by playing with respected names like Neil Young, Rufus Wainwright, Weezer, and Cake. The group plays under Neil Young’s label, Vapor Records, in Canada and under Sire in the United States.

The identical twins have made a splash with critics around the world and have been nominated for the Alternative Album of the Year by the Juno Awards in 2006 and 2008. They have been named t the best album list I Rolling Stone in 2004 and have graced the cover of ROCKRGRL magazine.

Tegan and Sarah tours have been selling out for a while and the latest concert series scheduled for the United States in the fall of 2008 should be no different.
