The Cult’s members grew up together. The bassist used to annoy his sibling by playing his favorite tape incessantly. The Cult started singing at the college club Attorney. The band used to practice at the bassist's house.

Even after getting the record deal The Cult were not sure if they would make it in the end. The Cult talked to a local program director from K97.9 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after The Cult was signed.

The band may have recently finished their newest release, but they are already plotting the next move. The Cult plans to take a break after the tour, to allow the group members to recharge after a long year.
