The Guess Who began playing together while they were in college. The drummer discovered his love of music while listening to his sibling's record collection. The guitarist used to listen to radio constantly as a kid. The Guess Who began playing at the college club Comedian. The group used to sell their tapes out of their truck in the school parking lot.

The Guess Who always wanted to hear themselves at the top of the charts and they got their wish with the release of their first single. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they began. got K98.1 to start playing their single and had their friends call in to request the song. A record executive heard it one day and immediately signed the band. The band group played festivals, parties, bars, really just about anywhere that would take them.

accepted that they had made it as soon as the band’s first fan club was started in 1997 by Laura Scheutz. Initially the group only had a few fans from Omaha in the club, but after playing nation wide the fan club’s membership exploded to a few thousand.

The Guess Who's members hope to collaborate with other artists while they are on this tour. The group may have just completed their new release, but they are plotting their next move already. The Guess Who's newest album has been heavily influenced by artists of the '70s.
