The Streets accepted that they were truly working musicians in 1988, as soon as the band's first fan club was started by Maria Wolbert. The club started out small, with just a handful of members around San Antonio. After the band’s first national tour the club grew dramatically, reaching a membership in the thousands.
The Streets intends to spend some time apart after the tour, to allow the group members to rest. The band may have recently completed their newest album, but they are already plotting the next move.
Generally, critics commend The Streets for their ability to rile up the crowd during live shows. Evan DeCambra, a music critic from New York, has always praised band’s crisp sound.
