The Swell Season

The Swell Season Tickets

The Swell Season started playing at Beach, a college dive bar. The lead singer discovered his love of music while listening to his sister's collection of records. The drummer wanted to start a band since he was in middle school. The Swell Season’s members met in 1995. The group was influenced by the Benagls.

The Swell Season will spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the group members to rest. The group is in the first leg of the accompanying tour for their new release. The Swell Season's latest project is the group's seventh project.

The Swell Season were relieved when their single climbed the charts. They had heard too many stories of bands with record deals going nowhere. The group played for years atcollege parties making almost no money.

The Swell Season realized that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act when Kathleen Reiner started a fan club for the band in 1984. The fan club grew quickly from a few dozen members in a few cities to a few thousand from coast to coast.

The Swell Season respects the fact that their fans love their past projects, so they go to great effort to incorporate the previous hits with the newest ones. Every time the band comes to Baltimore they are sure to stop at Humorist and play a show.
