The Zutons Tickets
The Zutons began playing together while they were in grade school. The group asked the local radio station to play their track. The Zutons began playing at the local club Giant. The drummer first found his love of music by listening to his grandfather's music collection.
The Zutons’s first album was a dud, but the second finally got some attention. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they started. The Zutons met with a local DJ from Q94.1 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the group. The band members quit their other jobs to focus on their album.
The Zutons accepted that they could really have a career in music in 1989, after the group's first fan club was started by Kim Prather. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Cincinnati, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the group’s website by Amy Jean.
The latest project from The Zutons has taken the band in a brand new direction, with a more complex musical structure. The group is in the midst of the tour promoting for their newest album. The Zutons's members hope this next tour brings in more fans than ever.
Generally critics will commend The Zutons for their ability to rile up the audience during live shows. Vince Harkenreader, a music critic from Biloxi, has always been pleased with group’s incredibly talented vocals. The Zutons’s new album is receiving tremendous reviews from all the critics, including Trent Vanderhoff, who first saw the group play in Oklahoma City.
