After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Three Days Grace was signed to a record deal. The group played for little to no money at first and was just happy to be given a chance to be heard. Three Days Grace realized that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true when Lizzie Francoeur started a fan club for the band in 1975. The fan club quickly grew from a few dozen in Champaign to a few thousand all across the country.
