U2 Tickets

The rock band U2 is from Dublin, Ireland. The drummer Larry Mullen put a note on the notice board at Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Dublin in autumn 1976, looking for people to join a band and four friends joined up: Paul Hewson (aka Bono Vox), Dave Evans (aka The Edge), Dik Evans, and Adam Clayton. Dik soon left to join the Virgin Prunes, while the remaining four formed 'Feedback' before changing to 'The Hype' and then settling on U2. Officialy the band is formed on 25 September, 1976. Noted for their anthemic sound, Bono's impassioned vocals, and The Edge's textural guitar playing, the band had become a top international act, by the mid-1980s.

In October 1980 the band released their debut album named “Boy”, with Island Records. Culminating with a show on New Year's Eve which was broadcast throughout the world, U2 played a series of 4 concerts at The Point Depot in Dublin at the end of the 1980s. U2 responded to the dance and alternative rock revolution througs 1990s. On 22 November, 2004, the band's last studio album was released with the name “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb”. They have won more Grammy Awards than any other band and have sold more than 170 million albums worldwide. They were listed at #22 in the list of the 100 greatest artists of all time in the Rolling Stone Magazine.
