The members of Ultra Dolphins grew up together. The guitarist used to listen to radio constantly as a teenager. The guitarist used to fall asleep with a CDplaying as a teenager. Ultra Dolphins began singing at Cafeteria, a local club. The band asked the local radio station to play their early songs.

Ultra Dolphins's latest record is the band's seventh project. The group is in the first leg of the tour promoting for their newest album. After this past hectic year the members of Ultra Dolphins will spend some time apart to recharge after a long tour.

Often times, critics have praised Ultra Dolphins for their ability to rile up the audience at live performances. Ultra Dolphins’s most current album has received inspiring reviews from all the critics, including Wade Dunn from Las Vegas and George Gasteyer from Tampa.

After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Ultra Dolphins was signed to a record deal. The groupwas headlining shows soon after they started playing live. Ultra Dolphins accepted the fact that their dream of making a life as musicians had come true as soon as Maria Judge started a fan club for the group in 1988. The fan club started out small with just a handful of members, generally localized to the area around Urbana, but the creation the group’s website by Sarah Tomaselli, along with the first real national marketing campaign, saw the membership to grow into the thousands.

The band has never played a bad performance in Biloxi, so they make sure to schedule a stop there whenever they tour.
