U.S.S.A. started playing at Dinner, a local dive bar. The bassistdiscovered his love of music by listening to his grandfather's record collection. The bassist use to listen to musics constantly as a teenager. The members of U.S.S.A. met in 1995. The group was influenced by Alice in Chains.

U.S.S.A. was discovered after their single was heard on a local music hour on Q100.9.
