The members of Valentino met in 1988. The guitarist discovered his love of music while listening to his grandmother's collection of records. Valentino started singing at the local dive bar Torpor. Robert Johnson heavily influenced the early work of the group.

Valentino signed the record deal, but were not expecting the next step to be any easier. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they began. The years of paying their dues paid off when Valentino signed a record deal. The bandwas headlining shows soon after they started playing live.

Valentino accepted that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a real possibility in 1998, when the group's first fan club was started by Carol Parquette. The fan club grew from a few dozen to a few thousand after Pam DiSalvatore created a website for the band and a national tour gave the group plenty of exposure.

The latest release is 's first record since the band broke up three years ago. The band is in the start of the promotional tour for their new project. Valentino see this tour as a chance to expose a whole new group of fans to their music.
