Vampire Mooose’s members were friends in high school. The lead singer was heavily influenced by his uncle's love for music. Vampire Mooose began singing at Fighter, a college dive bar. The band used to practice at the lead singer's garage.

Vampire Mooose were unsure about their music careers with the release of their debut single, and were relieved after their music began climbing the charts ad getting lots of play on the radio. A member of Vampire Mooose started dating a girl whose auntwas a record executive. She passed the single on to them and the band signed a record deal soon after.

Vampire Mooose finally knew they made it when the group’s first fan club was started by Lizzie Menchen in 1995. The band embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the group’s own website by Amy Anderson and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.

Vampire Mooose's new record is a refinement of their established sound. The group may have just finished their newest release, but they are thinking of what is next to come. Vampire Mooose see this tour as a chance to expose another group of fans to their music.
