Vanilla Fudge began playing at Harbinger, a college bar. The guitarist use to listen to tape constantly as a kid. The guitarist was encouraged to play by his mother. Vanilla Fudge began playing together in 1985. The band begged the local radio station to play their first release.

After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Vanilla Fudge was signed to a record deal. The band members quit their other jobs to focus on their record. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they began.

Vanilla Fudge realized that they could really have a career in music as soon as the band’s first fan club was started in 1975 by Martha Anderson. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Chicago, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the band’s website by Mandy Jasper.

Vanilla Fudge's newest album is the band's sixth album. The band is in the middle of the tour accompanying for their newest release. After this past busy year the members of Vanilla Fudge will take some time off to work on individual projects.
