The members of Vienna Teng met in grade school. The lead singer used to fall asleep with a recordplaying as a child. The drummer wanted to start a band since he was in high school. Vienna Teng began playing at the local bar City. The band was influenced by Aretha Franklin.

Vienna Teng's new album has been heavily influenced by artists of the 1980s. The band is in the start of the accompanying tour for their newest project. After this past busy year the members of Vienna Teng will spend some time apart to work on individual projects.
