Vince Gill Tickets
Vince Gill has been making headlines in country music since he was 22 and burst onto the scene with the country rock group Pure Prairie League in 1979. Four years later he set out on his own, and created a name and following that have made one of the most important figures in the revival of country music.
As the lead singer of Pure Prairie League he sang their biggest hit, “Let Me Love You Tonight”. Gill still played with the group in concert well after his solo career took off, but Vince found far more success on the solo side than when he was part of the group.
He began his career on his own in 1983. His first two albums struggled to make a dent in the country charts, but his third (and last with RCA) finally found him breaching the top twenty. Despite the lack of early success, his first album, Turn Me Loose, won him the Top New Male Vocalist from the Academy of Country Music.
Gill would eventually go on to win 18 CMA Awards and 19 Grammy Awards, but those awards, and an induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, came after switching to MCA and finding much greater commercial success.
With MCA, Vince has sold most of his 22 million records. His debut album with the record company, When I Call Your Name, hit number two on the country charts and has been certified.
His career exploded during the ‘90s as he released five more albums with certified platinum at least once. Though Vince Gill did not find nearly as much commercial success in the 21st century, his efforts have prove to have great influence on the charts. The latest album, These Days, returned the venerable country singer to platinum status.
Vince Gill has always been a terrific artist to catch in concert. His tours sell plenty of tickets as fans from across the country wait for his return to the road.
