The Wakarusa Festival is one of San Diego’s best tours of the spring. The festival was started in 1999 after the city decided it needed a big act to bring tourists in to jump start the local economy. Tickets to Wakarusa Festival are now sold out within the first few days of their release. Any group now considers it an honor to be asked to sing at the festival, and will try and break any prior commitments to make an appearance at the event. Wakarusa Festival has come along way from the tiny event it started out as, and seems only to grow bigger and bigger every year.
