The members of War grew up together. Music of the '70s heavily influenced the early work of the band. War started playing at the college club Boss. The guitarist use to listen to CD constantly as a teenager.
The band recently completed their new album, and they are thinking of what is next to come. War see this tour as a chance to expose a new audience to their music.
War were happy to get the record deal, but were not sure how far they would go. The release of their debut release convinced them that they were right where they should be after their songs began to get lots of radio play. War met with a local DJ from X99.5 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the band.
