Members of the band Wayfest grew up together and developed an appreciation for reggae music. The drummer of the group learned to love reggae after listening to his grandfather's music collection. Wayfest started singing at the local club Reasoning. The group's practices drove the lead singer's parents from their home at first, but eventually the parents learned to live with it and even enjoyed the music.

Wayfest's latest record is the band's tenth project. The group may have just completed their newest project, but they are already planning the next release. After this last busy year the members of Wayfest will spend some time apart to rest after a long year.

Wayfest signed the record deal, but were not expecting the next step to be any easier. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they started. submitted their single to Q95.9 and a DJ took a liking to it. The group's members all had odd jobs while they waited for their time to come.

Wayfest will mix songs from the newest project with hits from its past project. The group is sure to schedule a show at Governor in Cincinnati every time they tour because they used to play there all the time before they made it big.
