Wire Tickets
The members of Wire met in 1989. The lead singer was influenced by his sister's love of music. Wire began playing at Comedian, a local dive bar. The band had their friends harass the local radio station to play their song.
The years of paying their dues paid off when Wire signed a record deal. The band continues to play large venues, but still enjoys performing in smaller clubs on occasion.
Wire knew that they were real working musicians when Amy Hilgendorf started a fan club for the band in 1982. The fan club quickly grew from a few dozen in Chicago to a few thousand from California to New York.
The band recently completed their most current release, and they are thinking of what is to come next. Wire will take a break after the tour, to allow the band members to pursue other projects.
Often times critics will praise Wire for their ability to connect with the audience during live shows. A music critic from Tampa, Jack Van Hoos, has always been enamored with band’s great skill on their instruments. Wire’s latest record has received excellent praise from Raymond Avondale, a music critic out of Philadelphia, and Mark Molitor, from Urbana.
The band has never played a bad show in Jacksonville, so they make sure to schedule a stop there whenever they tour. Wire's shows always have the audience singing by the end of the show. TheSeats.com provides everything a fan could want- Wire tickets, tour schedules, concert seating charts, and more.
