X-Raves began playing together in 1994. The lead singer used to listen to radio constantly as a teenager. X-Raves began playing at Glossary, a local bar. The band kept asking the local radio station to play their early songs.

The band recently finished their newest project, but they are thinking of what is next to come. X-Raves intends to take some time off after this next tour, allowing the band members to pursue other projects.

X-Raves was offered a record contract after playing at at City, local bar. The bandplayed anywhere that would have them in the beginning.

X-Raves realized they had finally made it as soon as Jenny Parquette started a fan club for the band in 1983. Starting out in San Antonio with a few dozen members, the club grew fast, eclipsing a couple thousand across the country in under a year.
