X-ray Spex knew that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act after the band’s first fan club was started by Helen Verlinden in 1984. The group embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the band’s own website by Deb Jasper and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.
The most current project from X-ray Spex is the band's tenth project.
The group is in the start of the tour promoting for their new project. X-ray Spex intends to take some time off after the tour, allowing the group members to rest after a long tour.
