Xbishopx’s members met in middle school. The lead singer was encouraged to play by his family. Xbishopx started singing at the local club Humorist. The band used to practice at the bassist's basement.

Xbishopx was offered a record contract after their single was heard on B96.1. Xbishopx always wanted to hear themselves at the top of the charts and they got their wish with the release of their first single.

Xbishopx realized they had finally made it as soon as the group’s first fan club was started by Dorothy Wolbert in 1992. The fan club started out small with just a handful of members, generally localized to the area around Tampa, but the creation the group’s website by Patricia Krishnamurthy, along with the first real national marketing campaign, saw the membership to grow into the thousands.

The most current release from Xbishopx took one month to record. The band has just finished their new release, but they are already planning their next move. Members of Xbishopx hope to team up with other artists while they are on this tour.
