Xmas Jam began playing together in 1983. The group was influenced by Kiss. Xmas Jam began singing at the local dive bar Spiral. The lead singer used to listen to his mother's tape constantly as a kid.

The newest release from Xmas Jam has been heavily influenced by bands of the '70s. The group is in the first leg of the tour accompanying for their most current release. Xmas Jam plans to spend some time apart after the tour, to allow the group members to work on individual projects.
