Yallapalooza’s members were friends in college. The guitarist wanted to start a group since he was in middle school. Yallapalooza started singing at the local club Clerk. The group used to practice at the guitarist's garage.
got Z93.1 to start playing their single and had their friends call in to request the song. A record executive heard it one day and immediately signed the band. The band group played festivals, parties, bars, really just about anywhere that would take them.
Yallapalooza's newest release has been heavily influenced by old blues artists. The band may have recently completed their latest record, but they are already planning the next release. Yallapalooza will take a break after this next tour, allowing the group members to pursue individual projects.
Critics have generally praised Yallapalooza for their ability to energize the crowd at live shows. A music critic from San Diego, Lewis Parquette, has always commented on group’s amazing hooks. Yallapalooza’s most current release is receiving terrific reviews from Ralph Lewis, a music critic out of Portland, and Rob Molitor, from St. Louis.
