Yelle started playing at the local bar Anyplace. The bassist use to listen to CDs constantly as a kid. The lead singerdiscovered his love of music by listening to his mother's music collection. Yelle’s members met in college. The band harassed the local radio station to play their songs.
Yelle will spend some time apart after the tour, to allow the group members to work on side projects. The group just completed their newest record, but they are already planning their next move. Yelle's most current album is the band's tenth record.

Yelle’s newest record has received great praise from all the critics, including Ed Gremillion, who first saw the group play in Kansas City.
