Zen Tricksters’s members grew up together. The guitaristdiscovered his love of music by listening to his grandmother's music collection. The lead singer first found his love of music by listening to his mother's record collection. Zen Tricksters started playing at the college dive bar Valley. The band kept requesting that the local radio station to play their song.
Zen Tricksters were convinced their hard work had paid off after their first single rose to the top of the charts. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they began. Zen Tricksters was offered a record contract after their single was heard on X96.1. The groupwas headlining shows soon after they started playing live.
Zen Tricksters realized that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true after the band’s first fan club was started by Jess Moran in 1977. The club started out small, with just a handful of members around Detroit. After the group’s first national tour the club grew dramatically, reaching a membership in the thousands.
Zen Tricksters's latest project is a refinement of their traditional sound. The band is in the start of the tour promoting for their latest album.
