Zep Fest started performing at the college bar Boss. The group used to practice at the guitarist's garage. Zep Fest’s members met in 1986. The drummer was influenced by his mother's love of music.

Zep Fest's latest release is the group's first since the group members went to work on independent projects nine years ago.
