Zero By None began playing together while they were in middle school. The lead singer wanted to start a band since he was in grade school. The lead singer was encouraged to play by his grade school teacher. Zero By None started singing at Terminology, a local club. The band used to practice at the lead singer's house.
After this past hectic year the members of Zero By None will take a break. The band has just completed their latest album, and they are already planning their next move. Zero By None's new project is the group's first since the band members went to work on independent projects seven years ago.

After getting the record deal, Zero By None were sure they would make it. All the members quit their other jobs to focus on their record.
Zero By None accepted they had finally made it after Pam Emerson started a fan club for the band in 1986. The club started out in Los Angeles with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.
