Zo2 started playing at Outfit, a local bar. The group was influenced by the British invasion. The members of Zo2 were friends in high school. The drummer used to fall asleep with a CDplaying as a child.

Zo2 plans to spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the band members to recharge. The band is in the beginning of the tour accompanying for their latest project.

Zo2 talked to a local program director from K92.1 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after Zo2 was signed. Zo2’s first album did not do so well, but the second album was a hit, going gold.

Zo2 accepted that they could really have a career in music in 1977, after the band's first fan club was started by Kim Greczkowski. Starting out in Albany with a few dozen members, the club grew fast, eclipsing a couple thousand all across the country in under a year.
