The members of Zoe grew up together. The drummer use to listen to CD constantly as a child. Zoe started singing at local competitions. Music of the 1960s heavily influenced the early work of the group.

Zoe’s first album failed to sell, but the second album saved them from obscurity. got B103.1 to start playing their single and had their friends call in to request the song. A record executive heard it one day and immediately signed the band.

Zoe knew that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true when Jenny Van Gundy started the first fan club for the band in 1999. The fan club quickly grew from a few dozen in Cleveland to a few thousand from California to New York.

Zoe will spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the group members to work on other projects. The band is in the beginning of the accompanying tour for their newest release.
