CVS/Caremark Charity Classic

CVS/Caremark Charity Classic Tickets

In the past eleven years that the CVS/Caremark Classic has been going on, over 12 million dollars has been raised. That is pretty impressive in just eleven years. This tournament is also great way to increase sponsorship of a product. Formerly a tournament on the PGA tour from 1969 to1998, this tournament was formerly known as The Pleasant Valley Country Club. The CVS/Caremark Classic is a pro-am tournament and is offered to LPGA players and formers PGA players as well. Held every year at the Rhode Island Country Club, Barrington, RI, the CVS/Caremark Classic has aided many non-profit charities in the New England area. The CVS/Caremark Classic is hosted by Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade, both former PGA professional golfers and Rhode Island natives.

In June of 2009, Nick Price and David Toms played as a team and scored an incredible 11 under par 60 with a 3 stroke margin. Price and Toms took the 2009 CVS/Caremark. The money raised through this tournament is used for charities that are in critical need for education, children and their families. Being the largest charitable sporting event that Rhode Island has, the proceeds are really important.

The CVS/Caremark Classic also has made history in that it combined men and women as co-ed teams during the tournament. For the first time ever in its history, the co-ed teams played the CVS/.Caremark Classic in 2009. Although the CVS/Caremark classic wasn't expected to last but a few years, it's success has been overwhelming and the addition of the ladies only added to the tournament's popularity.

The CVS/Caremark Classic is meant for those who love the game of golf to be able to get out there, relax, and just enjoy a stress free game of golf. The fact that this tournament ended up raising so much money for those who need it the most is just a wonderful bonus. Many charitable tournaments don't last as long as the CVS/Caremark Classic has and even fewer get better and better as the years go by.

The 2010 CVS/Caremark Classic is one of many charitable golf events, but what makes the difference in the CVS/Caremark Classic different is the longevity of its existence and how much money has been raised in so few years. One of the best parts of the CVS/Caremark Classic is that anyone can volunteer and be a part of this exciting tournament, not to mention having the opportunity to meet some famous pro players as well. As long as you meet the requirements of being able to work two shifts ad are able to attend a training session. The fun and excitement would be worth it all.

If volunteering isn't what you had in mind, but would like to attend and watch the action, tickets for the 2010 CVS/Caremark Classic are soon to be available. For those of you who are interested in promoting your company and its products, you can do this at the CVS/Caremark Classic as well. The more support received for this golf tournament, the longer it will be able to go on helping those who are in need from the charities that are being supported.
