The Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge is made up of the three top champions from the PGA, the LPGA, and the Champions Tour, formerly the PGA Seniors Tour until changed in 2001. These three champion golfers will share a million dollar purse at this challenge.

The Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge offers a great golfing experience to those who would like to play with the pros. The day before the actual pro tournament, those who are interested in playing a round or two on the Rio Secca and Cascata are welcome to do so. Guests can also secure a Pro-Am package and have the thrill of shooting an 18-hole foursome with a pro player on the Monday following the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge. Guests are also going to enjoy a stay at Caesar's Palace where they will be treated as royalty.

The Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge is a charitable tournament that supports the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Most Americans know who that Wendy's, a fast food restaurant chain, was founded by Dave Thomas. The charity has been amazing in the amount of money it has raised since 1992, a whopping $21 million dollars. The event lasts only one day and is televised during December, the weekend before Christmas. The televised coverage is spread out over the weekend, showing some on Saturday and Sunday.

The field is leveled with a handicap so that the PGA Tour champions play the full course while the Champions Tour players hit from tee at a shorter distance and the LPGA players tee off at an even shorter distance. Some big names have taken the purse at the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge. In 2008, the Champions took the win with Jay Haas, Fred Funk, and Nick Price at the tees. In 2005, another Champion win included Jay Haas once more along with Hail Irwin and Craig Stadler.

Being a foster child himself, Dave Thomas founded this charity with the dream that very foster child have a family. His dream is growing in reality with the help of some pretty big names in the PGA. The Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge is the largest fundraiser for the Foundation and has been an awesome positive influence for all those who are involved.

The Rio Secca and the Cascata are both challenging courses and will no doubt be a challenge to even the best champion golfers. The better the course the better the game, however, and these two courses certainly do provide it all.
